[TexC] Results of an experimental atudy are presented pertaining to _ transienC heat transfer during flow of a water stxeam through a cutout in a plste. The test data have been processed on Che basis of a numerical solution to the reverse heat-conduction problem (correctly formulated) and by implementatinn of an impliciL finite-difference algorithm on a digital computer. For better ~ccuracy of this data processing, the input daC~ , were amoothed by means of a apliae approximation of the temperature readings wiCh smooth functions. ExperimenCa have demonatrated that numeri- cal proceseing of test data can prodiice succesaful reaults in a study = of tranaient heat transfer at the turbine bladea of gas turbine engines.
