1. Attached herewith is a proposed revision of DCID No. 2/2 (Charter
for Critical Collection Problems Committee) which reflects the decision
made by the USIB as set forth in Reference (b).
2, As indicated in Reference (d), the DIA. and the Services, in their
comments submitted on Reference (c), indicated their non-concurrence
in the provision of that part of the attachment that directed that proposed
studies by the CCPC should be subject to approval by the DCI. Although
this provision was specifically approved by USIB (see Reference (b)), DIA
and the Services now suggest that such studies be approved by USIB rather
than by the DCI. The proposed change is indicated in the footnote to the
attachment.
Requested USIB Action:
3, It is requested that Board members indicate their concurrence or
other views regarding the change in DCID No. 2/2 contained in attachment 1
as modified by the footnote thereto, by returning the attached vote slip not
later than close of business 15 April 1963.
