1. (Unclassified - BAA) EMPLOYMENT Wanda Armstrong,
in the office of Representative Robert E. Bauman (R., Md.), called
and requested an application and professional brochures for a constituent.
The material was sent to her.
_2 _- (Unclassified - NDL) LIAISON Took a call from John
Walters, House Republican Conference staff, who wanted to know
if there was a more current issue than May 1976 of the Agency
publication entitled "Estimated Soviet Defense Spending in Rubles,
1970-1975. " After checking with the Congressional Support Staff,
I called Mr. Walters back and told him that the 1977 issue had not
been released yet. He thanked me for my help.
3. (Unclassified - NDL) LIAISON Received a call from
Tom Hipple, in the office of Representative Andrew Jacobs, Jr.
(D., Ind.. ), requesting a wall size map of Africa, one that shows
railroads, rivers, ports, etc. After checking with the Map Library,
I told Mr. I-Sipple that one would be sent to him in a day or so.
4. (Unclassified - NDL) LIAISON Took a call from Roy Werner,
on the staff of Senator John Glenn (D. , Ohio), who asked that they be
taken off the list to receive the Eastern Europe FBIS Daily Report
and added to the list to receive the Asia and Pacific FBIS Daily Report.
FIUS Liaison will take care of this.
5. (Confidential -- PG) LIAISON Telephoned the Physical
Security Section of the Office of Security to inform OS that Mr. Michael J.
Hershman, Deputy Staff Director, Subcommittee on International
Organizations, House International Relations Committee, had advised
me that he had not heard from OS's representative with regard to
physical security arrangements in the Subcommittee's spaces. I
had made the arrangement last week to have a representative contact
Mr. Hershman and meet with him. OS assured me that they had been
trying to contact Mr. Hershman and would continue. I so advised
