Robert Blakey, Chief Counsel and Director, and Gary Cornwall, staff of the House Select Committee on Assassinations, visited Headquarters to review material. Material reviewed was the 1977 IG Report (sanitized and unsanitized), and the Cuban Counter-Revolutionary Handbook. No notes were taken. 3. (Unclassified - RJK) LIAISON Called Katherine Essoyan, of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, to inform her that the briefing on terrorism would be given in the C&R conference room at 9:30 a.m., on 15 December. She said she would notify her colleagues about the time and the place. 4. (Unclassified - RJK) LIAISON Received a call from Winslow Wheeler, in the office of Senator Jacob Javits (R., N.Y.). Wheeler referred to Victor Zorza's column in today's Washington Post which cited a People's Republic of China People's _Daily article on U. S. Chinese relations. He requested a translation of the article. I called I of FBIS liaison, STAT who said she would send a copy directly to the Senator's office. Wheeler was advised. 5. (Internal Use Only -? RJK) LIAISON Called Colonel Mike Cullinane, in the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force --- Space Systems, and in his absence asked his secretary, Mrs. Watts, to pass a message to Dr. Charles Cook, in that office. It was that we have informed the GAO that we will turn down their request for compartmented clearances for six members of their staff for certain reviews within the Defense Department. I reminded Mrs. Watts that the Director was meeting with Dr. Cook this afternoon and should get this information prior to that meeting.
