charter, DCID 1/11, should be updated to reflect new respon-
sibilities expressed in Executive Orders and the results of
experience in carrying out assigned functions. The Committee
staff was tasked to prepare appropriate revisions for coordi-
nat i_on.
2. Attached is a first draft revision of the basic DCID,
and of the attachment bearing on your functional area of
responsibility. Your personal review and comments thereon
are requested by 15 May 1979. The results of this initial
review will be reflected in a second draft which will be
circulated for formal review by the subcommittees and the
Committee Principals.
