The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court established by Public Law 9S-511 is expected to become operational on or about 16 May 1979. In accordance with the enabling statute, the Chief Justice of the United States is promulgating security procedures for use by the court, based on consultation with the Director of Central Intelligence and the Attorney General. The Security Committee staff has been closely involved in the d.r,iCting of those security procedures. 2. The Court is to use the secure conference room (#6744) in the Department of Justice building, Constitution Avenue and Tenth Street, N.W.,Washington, D.C., for hearings and storage of records. As a temporary measure, could you locate a suitable Class 6, 4 drawer container in the warehouse that coutd be loaned to the Court against Physical Security Division allocations.
