SUBJECT: Update of Legislative Branch Holders of
SCI Access Authorizations
Attached is the computer listing of all
Legislative Branch employees having access to
SCI materials. CIA/OLC informed me yesterday
that names of Congressmen and their clearances
could not be provided in such a listing.
They said that Congressmen are elected members
of the Congress and are not issued clearances,
and they do not have background investigations
to get any clearance. Their need-to-know is
based on their committee assignments. The
only clearance information that can be provided
on the various. committees is on the committee
staffs.

The organizational chart shows the breakdown of these various

boxes represent the number of participants in each group.
