SUBJECT: Interagency Training Center Resources
1. The briefing on Interagency Training Center (ITC)
resource needs given at the 15 August 1979 Security Com-
mittee meeting included several detailed presentations on
equipment requirements. Copies of the requirements listings
are attached for information. During the briefing members
were told that existing ITC equipment was outdated and
rapidly becoming obsolete; and were advised that the in-
creasing sophistication of TSCM equipment in actual use
suggests that students undergoing ITC training should be
able to use and gain familiarity with modern gear. The
briefing also addressed the possible expansion of ITC to
accommodate slightly larger classes. A copy of the cost
estimate presentation for that is attached. Various alter-
natives for funding ITC needs were presented. These in-
cluded charging tuition for students and the allocation of
year-end funds by Community agencies which benefit from

2. Members are requested to review the attachments;
explore within their departments or agencies the feasibility
of paying tuition and of allocating year-end funds for equip-
ment procurement; and come to the September SECOM meeting
prepared to state official positions on these alternatives
