Talked with Betty Goetz, Staff Director, Senate Disarmament
Subcommittee, inquiring if she had been able to discuss with the
Chairman, Senator Humphrey, the question of CIA appearance and
She indicated that she had been
unable to sit down with the Senator to discuss this question but that
in any event the previously suggested date of 15 January is not
appropriate and tentatively, pending Senator Humphreys approval
of the entire arrangement, Miss Goetz was hoping that the Agency
would be able to appear on the morning of 28 January.
