1. The Director appeared before the combined CIA Sub-
committees of Senate Armed Services and Senate Appropriations
Committees on 1 August 1962 at 10:30 a. m. Present from the Sub-
committees were:

Leverett Saltonstall
Dennis Chavez
Milton R. Young
William Darden, Staff Member, was also present.
Present from the Agency were:

Estimates
John S. Warner, Legislative Counsel
A transcript was kept of a portion of the hearing by
an Agency recorder,and a sweep was made of the room.
