received a Certificate of Distinction today.
b. It was reported that Mr. Duckett had a stroke--is now at
home but not allowed visitors. had a heart attack and
had a pre-heart attack.
c. The question of handling U.S. national technical means of
verification. in Congress and the press is still unresolved. The DCI
position is that the fact of satellite reconnaissance should not be
revealed in formal statements.
d. Mr. Maurice Ernst was commended on the North Vietnamese
logistics project done by his office.
e. The classification directive will be issued next week.
(IA.S' list of authorized personnel responsible for classifying at
the SECRET and CONFIDENTIAL levels will include division and deputy
division chiefs, staff chiefs and Special Assistant. The Director
IAS is responsible for all TOP SECRET classifications.)

3. stated there was nothing to report on the Senior
School Career Board meeting.
4. emphasized that it is important for employees to
respond to parking violation tickets.
5. I Inoted that employees should surface any family drug
problems to the Agency. In some cases advice or help can be.offered and
possible security problems prevented.
6. Mr. Stoertz commented that the IAS Note (28 April 1972) on
as very interesting.
7. IMlr. Stoertz noted the introduction in the first of the series of
Imagery Research Aids was very good. He also suggested that in the future
they be made hard cover reports as they are a long term use product.
