a. There was a discussion of the President's forthcoming trip
to the USSR.
b. The DDI commented on the first congressional breakfast
meeting he attended.
c. Mr. Colby attended an OMB sponsored meeting in Charlottes-
vi I le for managers at his level to discuss efficiency in government
and to develop programs.
d. IAS was tasked to provide a bomb damage assessment of NVN.
e. There was a lengthy discussion of NPIC search plans for

f. The DDI commented on status of DCID's that are being
coordinated by head of intelligence community staff.

g. Senior School nominations are due by 26 May, using the
following criteria: (I) indicate flexibility of individual to
take another assignment--nominees for Army, Navy or Air War College
should be available for any of those schools though a preference
may be stated; (2) nominate younger candidates, but at the usual
grade level; (3) insure that alternate will in fact be available;
(4) applications should include a statement on proposed position
for the nominee upon his return. (IAS candidates will be selected
at next week's career board meeting.)
