1. Mr. Colby will try to get with Mr. Kissinger this week on

2. After checking with the Civil Service Commission the Agency
will have to back off to age 65 to conform with policy. This will present
some problems to many components where people are approaching 60. The
DDI is actively considering whether to adopt a position on voluntary or
involuntary retirement.
3. Mr. Colby asked that another paper be prepared on the Suez
Canal problem. Looking at the scheduling of its opening and to review
the primary political implications with some interest on the military.
