C. 20520 Dear Mr. Moore: This is to acknowledge your thoughtful letter thanking the members of this Directorate for their work in support of the NSC Task Force's preparations for the current Law of the Sea Conference at Caracas. We are pleased that we could be of help and look fo'r and to Continuing Our assistance through the next round of negotiations at Vienna. In that connection, we have recently completed an internal survey of the impact of Law of the Sea inte ' 'fence support requirements on the resources of this Direct?::rr--e. We are satisfied that we can acconsnodate this sort of workload in the months ahead, but are uncertain about whether the Task Force's needs will, in fact, be the sane in the post.-Caracas period. I would like to propose that, at some point soon after the current talks are concluded, a meeting be held between representatives of the Task Force and this Directorate. The purpose of this meeting would be to assess, in the light of the experience of our negotiators at Caracas, the utility of the support CIA has rendered to elate and to agree on requirements for the remainder: J of FY 1975.
