Approved For Release 2006/12/16: CIA-R DP82T0028,5R000200190036-5 OIA/TECH-29/79 11 July 1979 MEMORANDUM FOR: SUBJECT : The Office of Imagery Analysis Management Information System (MIS) 1. The MIS is an on-line computerized file designed to provide OIA management with current information on OIA projects and published reports. Information is kept current within the file for approximately two years and is then transferred to magnetic tape and stored off-line. Data on over 2000 projects and some 3000 reports are retrievable on a near real-time basis. 2. Maintained within the ODP system., this data base is similar to the OASIS file incorporating the same computer language and Delta Data terminals. First operational in mid 1972 using NPIC computer support, the MIS was transferred to ODP in early 1975. 3. Weekly hard copy listings are sent to each division providing information on the status of their projects. In addition, at program review time, each branch chief is provided with two reports containing information on their branch projects including the number of hours expended on each, and the number of hours each analyst has charged against all of their projects. 4.
