1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: MISSILE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (MSE) ASSOCIATED
WITH A MEW SOL D PROPELLANT ICBM MAY BE ONSITE FOR MISSILE
LOADING OR FOR TRAINING/COMPATIBILITY ACTIVITY.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: MISSILE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT IS AT PLESETSK LAUNCH
TEST SITES ~23 AND 24 AT LAUNCH SITE 23, AN
EMPTY CAN/CAP SILO LOADER IS BACKED UP TO THE CLOSED SILO. A
LARGE PIECE OF CANVAS HAS BEEN DRAPED OVER THE FRONT SECTION OF
THE SILO LOADER. AT LAUNCH SITE 24 (NOT ON GRAPHIC), A
CANVAS-COVERED POSSIBLE CAN/CAP TRANSPORTER IS PARKED ON THE
SILO APRON TURNAROUND. THIS EQUIPMENT WAS LAST SEEN AT THESE
TWO TEST SITES IN SEPTEMBER 1981. SITES 23 AND 24 ARE
COLLOCATED SS-13 SILOS THAT WERE MODIFIED IN 1981 TO ACCOMODATE
A SEGMENT OF A SOLID PROPELLANT ICBM FLIGHT TEST PROGRAM.
