MEMORANDUM TO LATIN AMERICAN POLICY COMMITTEE
FROM: James M. F rd~llxecutive Secretary
SUBJECT: Attendance at LAPC Meetings
Assistant Secretary Mann and others have
expressed concern over the increasing number of
persons attending meetings of the LAPC and the
implications of this trend on the effectiveness
and usefulness of the discussions.
It is Mr. Mann's wish, therefore, that only
members of the LAPC or their alternates attend
future meetings. When attendance of others is
considered desirable, invitations will be
extended on a one-time basis.
Attached is a list of LAPC member's and
alternates. If there are any changes proposed in
this list, please communicate them to Mr. Frey or
Mr. Taylor (Code 182 - Ext. 8411).
