TO: All Training Officers in the Agency
ADVANCED INTELLIGENCE SEMINAR (AIS)
The fifteenth running of the Advanced Intelligence
Seminar (AIS) is scheduled for two and a half weeks, full
time, 4 December through 20 December 1974. One of the core
courses recommended for specific stages of an individual
officer's career, the AIS is designed for experienced
middle and senior level officers (minimum grade GS-13)
from all components of the Agency. The Seminar is held
to about 25 members during each running.
Starting with a brief overview of significant
developments and problems facing CIA and its place in
the Intelligence Community, members of the Advanced
Intelligence Seminar should: (1) increase their knowledge
of selected international trends that affect U.S. foreign
policy and national security interests; and (2) obtain an
understanding of important issues and problem areas in
American society which are relevant to CIA and to its
personnel. The Seminar draws upon knowledgeable speakers
from both inside and outside government and strives to
establish an atmosphere of frank, in-depth discussionSTATINTL
among speakers and participants.
LOCATION In residence at the
STATINTL II 4-6 December and at the amber of
ommerce Building, Room 1001, 9-20 December.
REGISTRATION: Submit Form 73, "Request for Internal
Training," to OTR/SRS/RG/IR, Room 1036,
Chamber of Commerce Building, not later than
13 November 1974. It should be accompanied
by a biographic profile, and for special STATINTL
clearances, date and place of birth, and
Social Security Number.
