FY1982 - FY 1986
REFERENCE: Memorandum for DTR from A/DDA, dated
28 September 1979, Same Subject
1. The following OTR requirements, listed in priority
order, respond to paragraph lb of the referenced memorandum.

2. The requirements for computer training support
continue to grow. The Office of Data Processing (ODP)
Training Branch will probably move to the C of C Building.
Requirements for SAFE, CAMS, and COINS training are expected
to grow considerably over the next five years.
3. Branches within the Office of Training (OTR) are
making greater use of the Data Access Center terminals,. and
it is expected that sufficient interest will be shown in
VM/GIMS terminals for several additional ones to be installed.
In this regard, OTR also foresees a likely need to enhance
the capability of our Transcription and Processing unit by
establishing a link with our Data Access Center.

4. If the SAFE computer is on the same COMTEN as our
classroom VIZ terminals, there will not be the need for any
new SAFE lines. If these lines are not provided, OTR will
not be able to offer the associated training at the desired
levels.

REMARKS
Attached is our Directorate response to the Office of
Communications (OC) call for new communications support
requirements. OC requires this data for preparation of
their FY 1982 Program Plan.
The attached memo is my synthesis of submissions
received from each of our offices. Danny and I have dis-
cussed the prioritization of requirements as reflected.
I will plan to send a copy of the attached memo to
all of your Office Directors for their general informa-
tion.
I am available to discuss this with you at your
convenience.
