Dear Mr. Califano:
I have read the proposed regulation on "Smoking
in GSA-Controlled Buildings and Facilities" and I
certainly agree that it establishes a sensible and
reasonable policy. You may be assured that this
Agency will give its full support toward implementing
the regulation. Incidentally, L have declared my
office as a non-smoking area.
In general, I see nothing within the proposed
regulation which would draw criticism from smokers
and nonsmokers and I heartily endorse the policy.
