SUBJECT: Career Training (CT) Task Force Meeting
1. The 16 May CT Task Force meetincz was chaired by
2. According to the recruitment statistics, there are
not many interviews scheduled or to be scheduled; however,
there is a large number of Personal History Statements to be
returned. Forty-eight files were received in the Recruitment
Division last week, and should reach the CT Staff within the
25X1 next few days.
3. The Psychological Services Staff has 13 assessments
scheduled this week, 14 next week, and 9 the week of 27 May.
There are 91 assessments scheduled or- to be scheduled through
18 June. The Office of Medical Services can conduct 30
physicals a day with few problems, but six assessments per
day tax the staff. There were computer problems yesterday
25X1 and today. u
4. Using SAT instead of PATB scores was suggested a
number of months ago. The recruiters are finding, however,
that the typical individual they interview took the SAT
at age 17 or 18 and have moved a number of times since then.
In many cases the SAT scores are simply not available.
5. The Office of Security has received 204 cases as of
11 May; 198 arc scheduled. for the field, 110 are in process,
46 arc approved, 10 are disapproved, and 38 cancelled. The
six internal applicants are approved. The Pilot Program has
received 5--3 are in process, and 2 are approved. 0
6. As of. Friday (the end of the reporting period), there
were 53 full medical approvals and 46 full security approvals.
Twenty-seven applicants have received both approvals and are
ready to enter on duty. It was agreed that we would closely
monitor these approvals and expedite those applicants who have

SUBJECT: CT Task Force Meeting - 16 May 1979
7. Yesterday Messrs. visited the
CT Staff and reviewed 30 files of rejected applicants. From
these files, there are 8 possible pre-CT candidates being
considered. The first pre-CT will enter on duty within the
next few days. She will be a direct-hire of LA Division.
