1. Since 1 January 1947 the Chinese Comsgatst Aviation school has been divided
into three classiest the primary class at Mishan (132-0, 46-42); the later-
mediate class at Tungan (131-58, 45-6$)d the advanced class at Woushiang
(126-14, 49-11). Primary class includes elementary flying; intorasdiats
includes single seat pursuit and/or bomber training. The training period
for each class is ten mouths, and the top 20 graduates of each class may go
to the USSR for advanced training. Both primary and intermediate classes use
Soviet planes (I type fighters and SS light bombers), with Soviet aviators
as instructors and Chinese who ha finished edvaneed training in the USSR as
assistant instructors. Since 1 ay 160 cadets of the fifth class of the
.Chinese Cemunist Aviation School have entered primary class at ?3ishan. Inter-
mediate class students left (ITungan?) for Nenohiang on 27 April and entered
advanced class on I May.
2. From 20-27 ',arch Chinese Cesmwnist airforce cadets at Nsnchisng practiced
dive bombing and 11-plane formation flying with SB light bombers.
3. On 24 may at Benahiang airfield there were 34-U Chinese Cesaanist aviators,
19 Soviet aviators, one company of engineers, em. company of ground troops
(Chinese and Soviet wed), and one regiment of guards, all Chinese and 1,640
strongg. There were also 16 bombers, CANT 51007 type (?). These pls,ned'"Sre
60 feet long, 16 feet high and had a wingspan of HU feet.

4. From 20 June to 25 July there were eatiened at lkmehiang airflsld, abset
120 pilots wearing sky-blue neck tad&e, six Soviet instructors, and 2,003
troops. There were three Junkers 86 ransports, fire I-16 fighters, six
I-16 fighters and five SB light bombez.
