1. Attached is a sketch showing Szczecin and surrounding toims.
2. The former German airfield at Darmnschen Lake, north of the Szezacin:r
Altciamm railway, has been ooupletely rebuilt and is now Poland's
largest and best airfield for land and seaplanes. A great deal of
material (repair parts for planes, bombs, and gasoline) is brought
to the field ttr railtxgy and in large transport pianos. About 150
bombers ans~ 30 fighters are stationed at the field. There are 1700
soldiers, many of them Polish. The 600-man labor force is made up
of Germans who live in Szozeoin and Altdaz ra. The road to Altda a has
been roved, as shown in the sketch. The Szczecin-Altdarn railtrey bridd
has been repaired with timber-s and is now usable.

The Russians have 150 tanks at the Erechower field. These-are ?rent
just behind the Cambray barracks in Gi n:tbeeker Forest. The soldier
quartered here are 116ngols. There is also a division staff at the
barracks (see sketch).
There is one Polish infantry regiment in the barracks betmon Glare owr
Forest and Szczecin, one at.A1t-Torneyr and Neu-Torrey, and another it
the itendorf barracks.
5. At Gfstow (south of Szczecin), there is a Polish officers: school tsith
about 80 students.-
6. The Russians have a great deal of materiel stored in the former German
ar.unition and materiel depot which is located 1 km. west of the Gel-
benanunde raflvayr station.
7. There is a large airfield 4 to 6 pan. east of Pasot8ik (35 km. I'm of
Szczecin) on the north side of the hi?itxW to Szczecin.
8. The former Geman arrzuiition factory at Goliszewo (G izow), Pomerania;,
now employs 800 man. The armuntion is shipped to Szczecin. The factory
is 4 km. SE of IIenkezhagen in the direction of I1oietenthin, east of the
Golisseno-Henkenhagen railway.
