1. Clandestine contact has been established with unidentified leaders of the
National Peasant Party who are presently in prison. Some of these im-
prisoned leaders appear to be supplying advice for and direction to certain
political activities of a clandestine character which are being carried on
by some members of the National 1)asant Party and others.

2. These imprisoned leaders have ordered that anti-Semitism among Rumanians
ruu t be curbed. They asaid to be indifferent to the activities abroad
of (General)Nicolae Radescu and to be annoyed at the address delivered

3. The imprisoned leaders are reported to be in as good health as could be
anticipated in view of prison conditions.
