of the Slovene and Croat Governments? All Ministers of these Governments
must have fought with Tito as Partisans, and have been solidly anti-
Cominform. A. ;.dirovics and Josip Kurceak have been wed to set up now
govermaents.
2. Increasing friction has resulted in some shooting on the Yugoslav-
Bulgarian border near Prahovo. Cominforra troops composed of agents,
Partisans and border guards allegedly fired on Yugoslav territory when
Tito agents crossed the border. Five dead are reported in Yugoslavia,
as well as one dead and two wounded Bulgarians. Official confirmation is
impossible because of Tito's strict orders for silence, but the cause
appears to be attributable to Yugoslav agents who attempted to cross the
border.
3. High military circles allege that Marshal Tito now also possesses the
most modern planes and anti-aircraft guns. It is claimed that he has
several squadrons of jet fighters and four squadrons of Jet bombers.
These are not United States types, but reportedly originated in the
Orient.
4. High military, circles also report that Tito is especially fearful of an
attack from Hungary and Albania. Consequently he has caused the reduction
of their diplomatic staffs to an absolute mini uai in order to prevent any
opportunity for espionage. Each country now allegedly has only a
sinister? deputy and stenographer in Yugoslavia.
