(LISTED BELOW) SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. In the Georgian SSR, large numbers of workers are being employed in building and improving roads for military purposes. Roads included in this program are: to. Samtredia - Batumi This existing road is now being.as- phalted. Construction was started at Sukhumi and has progressed as far as Ochemchiri. 1) Samtredia - Chokhatauri - Makharadze (Ozurgeti). - Notanebi - Kobuleti. The old road is now being improved and ,widened. A new highway is being built following the. railway from Samtredia to Lanchkhuti and Notanebi. 3) The Kobuleti -Batumi road is being asphalted. 25X1A cq Kutaisi - Benara (41-39N, 42.-49E) d. Repairs are being made on parts of this as- phalt road where necessary. This road, which runs parallel to the Turkish border, is being asphalted. Construction started at Batumi and is proceeding eastward.
