AGREEMENTS BET"W"EEN THE GDR AND THE USSR AND ITS SATELLITES
agreements made between the German
Democratic Republic and the USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary,
Rumania, Bulgaria, Albania, and Communist China.
In regard to Poland, the agreements are subdivided into political,
economic, cultural and other agreements ranging from January 1950 to
February 1.951. They include the Oder/Neisse border agreement, trade
agreements, agreements for cultural collaboration, an agreement to take
mutual measures for flood and ice control in Frankfurt/Oder, and an
agreement for mutual plant control (extermination of potato bugs).
Agreements with Czechoslovakia include an agreement for the exchange
of goods, services, and payments, a declaration to oppose the Western
policy of interfering in domestic affairs of other countries, plant
control agreements, etc. They range between January 1950 and February 1951.
Agreements with Rumania and Bulgaria are similar to the ones
described above, ranging from June 1950 to March 1951, and include also
agreements for technical and Scientific collaboration with both countries.
The agreements with Albania consist of a trade and credit agreement
and a financial aid agreement, valid until 31 December 1955, which were
signed in Berlin on 27 March 1951.
The agreement with Communist China, dated 10 October 1950, is one
covering the exchange of goods and payments.
