- The construction of the tunnel in Praha VII"- Leiria is
carried out by the Czechoslovak Construction Works, nat.corpe,
plant BAFi.AI3A. offices of -the firm: PPraha VII. Letohradska l~.Ja..
Other offices etc. are directly at the place of the construction,
opposite the Technical Museum. At present this buil~.i.ng houses
the Directorate of the Stavoproject.
Situation of the tunnel:
The tonne begins 'gat the Captain JAROS Embanlsinent, just where
the new bridge ends under which there is a viaduct for the embankment
traffic. The tunnel ends at the corner of two street (Nod stolou and
Dobrovskeho u~ne) behind the main building of the ~q'i n-i stry of the
Interior in Praha III. 50X1-HUM
Nor cars of the Prague ~~ can pass through it.
By-tunnel:- Parallelly with the main tunnel aside-tunnel is being
construed (narrower and lower than the main- one, with a speoial
airing system}o This side-tunnel is connected with the main one
by three side corridorso
This tunnel is supposed to be used
as an air-raid shelter, 50X1-H U M
V,rorking hours: three shifts, 8 hours each. ~Tork begins at 6.a.m.
T~ta~es: Skilled workers get Czocrs. 28,50 per hour, unskilled workers
are paid Cz,:crs~. 12, and 16, per hours T~Vork is done according to
a fi.~:ed schedule, and biased one tivi.th anotYiero Plant BAR,ABA employed
many clerks (who had been released recently from the b~?inistries and
civil. service) as unsYa.lled workmen.
