According; to a Soviet construction engineers the construction
of the plant was begun in the Fall of 1046. German PUUs Were em-
ployed as workers since 1943. In raid-October 194.3 building I wa s
nearing colnrletion, while the concrete foundations of build

which extended 2.4 meters below the ,round were completed,, The
steel girders for the building were %lready stored in the factory
area. The framework of the boiler-house and transformer stat .on
was completed but these buildings were not yet furnished, The
smokestack of the boilerhouse was still missing? It was planned -Co
expand the factory area toward the Brest so as to include the r-11
road tracks, one of which led to the radio plant.

foundations, The side walls are almost completely taken up by the
