According; to a Soviet construction engineers the construction
of the plant was begun in the Fall of 1046. German PUUs Were em-
ployed as workers since 1943. In raid-October 194.3 building I wa s
nearing colnrletion, while the concrete foundations of build

which extended 2.4 meters below the ,round were completed,, The
steel girders for the building were %lready stored in the factory
area. The framework of the boiler-house and transformer stat .on
was completed but these buildings were not yet furnished, The
smokestack of the boilerhouse was still missing? It was planned -Co
expand the factory area toward the Brest so as to include the r-11
road tracks, one of which led to the radio plant.
bQ Type of construction: The buildings are to be alike. They are
27 x 90 meters building 1 is 7.5 meters high The steel s`ke1et n
of the sidewalls rests on brick pedestals built on the concrete
foundations, The side walls are almost completely taken up by the
large yrindows, 3,,6 meters squared The arched roof is of wood and
rovicled with a. skylight as indicated in sketch`
