This 26-page typewritten document is a report on the development of the People
Owned Farms (VVG) in the (2)R. The first seven pages are text, which trace the history
of the land reform program from 1945 to 1951.
The next fifteen pages contain a list of 590 farms of more than 100 hectares each
which were taken over by the GDR Government. The list gives the district where the
farm is located, the district and estate numbers, the typ4f farm, e.g. used for animal
husbandry, seed-growing, etc., the name of the farm, the community in which it is located,
the date on which it was taken over by the VVG and the size in hectares. There are 16
district federatiorffi of people-owned farms (GVVG)and the farms are listed according to'
the .GVVG under whose Jurisdiction they falle The nex t
page is an appendix to this list, naming those farms which were added to the VVG after
1 July 1950. The next page lists 6 farms which will be excluded from the VVG Zn_o fuller

The 25th page lists the soil utilization of the VVG according to the 1950 census.
The last page gives names, titles, and party affiliations pf seven of the leading
personnel of the VVG.
