This document consists of carbon copies of eight typewritten reports, distributed by the
"Secret Communication Serviced, as follows:
1) 3-page report, dated the end of January 1952, containing: a)miscellaneous details concern-
ing black coal mines in the GDR: fulfillment of the Zwickau-Oelsnitz black-coal region's
November 1951 quota by 102, percent; daily output (800 tons) of Rudolf Breitscheid Shaft
(reppened on 2 august 1951); exploratory drilling for coal deposits at Doberluck-Kirchheim
and Zwickau-Oelsnitz; b) brief remarks on the GDR coking industry: construction of the
central coking installation in Lauchharnmer-West; production of metallurgical brown-coal coke
in an East Berlin gas plant.
2)12-page report,, dated January 1952, concerning industrial cooperation between the GDR and
Poland in the field of electrical products. The information consists of a list of projects
undertaken by the GDR to supply Poland with specifications, technological and production
processes, explanatory diagrams, etc., for the production of various tonnes of condensers,
pressed-glass plates for radio tubes, and other electrical equipment. In most cases, the Get
agreed, in addition to providing the above information, to train Polish specialists at the
appropriate GDR plants, to supply certain types of machinery and production equipment, and to
aid in putting production installations into operation in Poland. In some cases, the GDR
agreed to prepare reports on production possibilities in the (ODE.
3) 9-page report, dated the end of January 1952, consisting of a list of decisions of the
Commission for Economic-Technical Cooperation between the GDR and the CSR. Examples: a) the
CDR was to send specialists to the CSR to establish the production system for high-fre

generators; b) the ODE was to supply the CSR with specifications and information on production
processes and equipment for tungsten and molybdenum wire, pb1ari~ed relays, cooper oxide rec-'
tifiers, etc; c) the CSR was to supply the GDR with blueprints on the "Lunak" and "Kranich"
gliders, and with a report on the most successful XX CSR ty-aes.
i} 1-page report, dated the end of January 1952, stating that the boiler pipes in the Bitter-
feld Combine's pown:r plant are in very poor condition, and that power output will be greatly
decreased unless pipes can be procured from the Jest.
5) 2-page report, dated January 1952, with the following information on the production of
hunting rifles in Suhl/Thueringen: a) names of producing plants in the Suhl area; b) names of organizations in charge of sales; c) inventory on hand; d) planned 1952 production; e) short-t
age of skilled workers.
6) 2-page report, dated February 1952, giving figures on the planned 1952 production of variou;
SAG(Soviet Cor?oration) groups (SAG'S for cement,
shipment to the USSR. vehicle; and briquette production) fo:

7) 1-page report, dated February 1952, giving the plan figures for the 1952(and, in some cases
1953) production of iron ore, pig iron, and various types of crude steel. In all cases,
scheduled production involves increases over that of 1951. the
