It bore a sign with the word nDriving Schooln in German. The truck was occupied by several air force soldiers. There are no indications of preparations for expanding the airfield; all the fields surrounding it are cultivated by the farmers in a normal manner. The bunker is surrounded by wooden posts which have been painted a brilliant white. It is secured by barbed wire and is guarded. It is brightly illumi- nated at night. It is possible that this is the bombs and ammunitions depot. 50X1-HUM Aspern gives the impression of a town with many troops in it with a good possibility that 800 to 1,000 men are quartered in the vicinity of the airfield. The airfield looks neglected. 50X1-HUM SECRET/CONTROL -- US OFFICIALS ONLY Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2012/08/22 : CIA-RDP83-00415R012700080003-9
