SOVIhr AIRFIELD AT ASPERN
50X1-HUM
A truck was seen driving from Kagran in
the direction of Aspern. It bore a sign with the word nDriving Schooln in German.
The truck was occupied by several air force soldiers.
There are no indications of preparations for expanding the airfield; all the fields
surrounding it are cultivated by the farmers in a normal manner.
The bunker is surrounded by wooden posts which have been painted
a brilliant white. It is secured by barbed wire and is guarded. It is brightly illumi-
nated at night. It is possible that this is the bombs and ammunitions depot. 50X1-HUM
Aspern gives the impression of a town with many troops in it with a good possibility
that 800 to 1,000 men are quartered in the vicinity of the airfield. The airfield looks
neglected. 50X1-HUM
