Frequent controls of personal documents are being made once more in the Prague streets and public places. These controls seem to be more-or-less at random, at any time of the day, that is to say no longer predominantly at night. Such ckecks are made in streets, parks, coffee-houses, restaurants, railroad stations, etc, 2. Any person intercepted without a valid document of employment is hauled by police-cars to the 14th Department in the Bw tolomejska street. If, under rigomos questioning,there he is unable to prove that he has regular employment or a legitimate reason for not working, he is brought before a special commission consisting of four members, one of whom is a representative of the Labor-Office of the Regional Nat. Committee (KNV)? The Commission directs such persons into the Kladno mining area or to Ostrava and iss him an Employment Order (Pracovni vymer) with which he has to report to labor recruitment office in that area. This Order con- tahs detailed instructions. 3.
