19 county headquarters (krajske velitelstvi) throughout the CSR.
Subordinate to these are district headquarters (okresni velitelstvi),
which in turn control the individual SNB posts (stanice). In rare
cases the posts establish -sub-posts (filialni stanice) to cover such
areas as remote localities or major industrial plants.
2. Righuay control stations (cestne kontrolne stanice) have been estab-
lished by SNB county headquarters. District headquarters began to
set up such posts in 1950, although not all such headquarters had
thee units as of November 1951.

3. SNB shipping control stations are located in all towns an navigable
rivers. Air patrol detachments (letecke hlidky) have been organized
at various airfields.
4. SNB headquarters have purely administrative functions and do not
represent executive SNB organs. Only in exceptional cases are per-
sonnel of these headquarters used for other SNB purposes.
S. The SNB county headquarters in Nitre is comprised of the following
departments:
a. Personnel, which includes Cadre, Political and Dis-
ciplinary Sections. The Cadre Section is the most
important, since it is responsible for the political
indoctrination and reliability of SNB personnel. The
Political Section is actually a part of Cadre, and is
subordinate to its chief.
b. Administration.
c. Criminal Records.
