This photostated document is a bound booklet, dated 1 November 1951 and prepared by the
Neeptun Shipyard, Rostock, which deals with procedures involved in assembling and equipping
a 3,000-ton freighter, The text of the booklet consists of printed entries in German, with
accompanying Russian translations of each entry, and the booklet is divided into the following
two sections;
1) A step-by-step outline of the procedures to be followed in assembling the above-
mentioned freighter on the slip. Information is given under three headings: a) number of
step or operation; 351C a total of 287 steps are listed; b) number of section of Part; c)desig-
nation of section to be assembled or part to be installed.
2) Twentyone perspective drawings of the above freighter, which bear numbers correspond-
ing to the numbers of the steps referred to under (a) above, The drawings are to serve as a
visual aid in following the steps outlined in text form, as described under (1).
