The document consists of the following issues of the Mitteilungsblatt der
Deutschen Reichsbahn (Reichsbahn Gazette): appendices A. B, and C to vol III, no 28,
of 2 Oct 1952; and vol III, no 29, dated 9 Oct 1952.
The greater part of no 29 is, as usual, taken up by the publication of official
?ddcrees and announcements of the Directorate General and the various directorates of
the Reichsbahn. These announcements are subheaded as follows: operations, passenger
traffic, safety and communications, vehicle group, chief bookkeeping department.

The issues include the following items of special interest:
Decree instituting compulsory railroad instructions courses, dated 23 Sep 52.
Directives for conducting compulsory railroad instructions courses, valid as of
1 Oct 52.
Temporary directives for train personnel, valid as of 1 Oct 52.
Beginning 1 Oct 52, loss of-identification cards by railroad personnel will be
punished by a severe reprimand for the first offense, immediate dismissal for
repetition of offense. At the next instruction course each Reichsbahn unit is
to be impressed with the importance of identification cards and the danger of their
getting into the wrong hands.
List and invalidation of lost identification cards.
Decree pertaining tosemuneration of instructors in people-owned and equivalent
enterprises, of 12 Sep 52, valid retroactively as of 1 Jul 52.
Directives covering overtime and lunchtime, as of 15 Sep 52.
