This document consists of a 1-page photostatic copy of the orders for the
guards of the workers and peasants faculty at Greifswald University.
The orders are broken down into 8 points. Point 1 is an introductory sentence
and reads as follows: 1The Friedenswache (peace guard) is a part of the protection
of the German Democratic Republic against agents, spies, and saboteurs of Anglo-
American imperialism." Point 2 defines the aims to be accomplished by the guards,
and Points 3 through 7 define in detail the actual procedure and regulations
governing guard duty. Point 8 specifies punishment for violations of the regulations,
