Directorates (RBD( in the German Democratic Republic for the use of their locomo-
tive engineers.
The route instruction booklet (La) covers the period from 16 November to
~9 November 1952 and was issued by the RBD Berlin. It lists all locations along
the right of way of the railroad network under the jurisdiction of RBD Berlin
which, durim~ the period covered renUired special attention of the ,theomotive
engineers. he information is bo~rken down by railroad lines (in numerical but
necessarily incomplete order) and within those lines again by sectors (numbered
consecutively regardless of lines) or by kilometer points within sectors,

Th~ information covers such items as stops for train c?ntrol; reduced speed at
temporary bridges, at curves or at track sections under repair; poor track condition;
