2. The camp was set up in May 1954 by members of an engineer regiment
in Bratislava and was used for summer training by the regiment.
It is called the Kormorany Training Camp. Although the Ministry
of National Defense declared the site of the camp unsuitable
becakase of the marshy mature of the ground, it nevertheless had to
be ;het up because of the pressure of the Soviet colonel who was
mi. .itary adviser to the engineer regiment. The camp commandant
was Major Jergens (fnu).
