(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) Large-scale production of point-contact germanium transistors at VEB Werk fuer Bauelemente der achrichtentechnik, Teltow (form, erly Dralowid), has not yet started. However, the enterprise has been engaged in the production of zero-series of several types of transistors. These types ares as 1NC?4lO through 1NC-012s Amplifier transistors with a maximum amplification factor of 17 decibelso b. 1NCm020 through 1NC-022: inplifying transistors with a maximum amplification factor of 20 decibels. Co 2NC-010s Circuit transistor. d. 3NC-010s Oscillator transistor. 2. Production of the zero-series of the transistor types m tibned re- presents the successful conclusion of the transistor development. Production is supposed to start.in the near'future,, 3. In April 1955, the enterprise c anized a meeting of a l?age number of scientists and technicians a the use of transistors was ex- plained to them in 'a lecture gi*In by Dr. Matthias Falter, head of the Dralowid Research and Devel 41tent Department. On this occasion, a radio receiver and loud-speaker circuit operated with transistors instead of tubes was successfully ' emonstrated. 4. Ten transistors of the 1NC--010 type were completed in late iipril 1955. The following are the data on the tenth of these transistors desig- nated by 44/010. The data were obtained in a test carried out by 25 YEAR RE-REVIEW STATE I X I ARMY -X ~1~NAVY AIR X FBI (Note: Washington distribution indicated by "X"; Field distribution by "#") 25X1 Approved For Release 2009/07/22 : CIA-RDP83-00418R000300220007-3 Approved For Release 2009/07/22 : CIA-RDP83-00418R000300220007-3 50 Input resistance with open collector Basis resistance Output resistance with open emitter Transi resistance Current amplification Voltage amplification Short circuit stability Performance amplification Limit frequency Collector voltage Collector current Emitter voltage Emitter current Favorable input resistance Favorable output resistance Maximum collector voltage Maximum collector dissipation Maximum emitter dissipation Maximum input alternating voltage Maximum ambient temperature 230 Ohms 85 Ohms 14 kilo-ohms 17 kilo-ohms 1.21 74 0.45 14.7 decibels 0.55 MHz 30 o1ts 3. milliamperes 0.26 volt' 1 milliamperes 200 Ohms 10 kilo-ohms 42 volts 100 millivolts 10 millivolts 0$15 volt 40 Centigrade As of early May 19558 the work of the Dralowid research and devo'lopm ment team on the development of junction-type transistors had not progressed beyond the stage reached in November 1954, i.,e0 beyond th development of junction-type rectifiers from n=germanium and indiui1, Development of these rectifiers is considered to be an initial step in the development of junction-type transistors. Even the junction- type rectifiers so far developed are not functioning well and pro- duction of this type of rectifier has not yet started.
