ln On 17 July 1955, earth work and deforestation had beenn on the construclnion
.site on the eastern shore of the Lake Templin. Part of the materia:i.
needed to fill, the dam is being dredged from the lake, A 3ocation
sketch made by the design office of the Deutsche Reichsbahn indicated
that the railroad line will join the line to Grossbeeren near Saarmund,
cross the WiIdpark Jueterbog line west of the Lake Templin and join
both the Potsdam - Brandenburg line and the Wildpark - Nauen line, New
railroad stations are to be, built at the crossing noint of the 7ildpark
Jueterbog line and in Golm, Lake Templin will be crossed by a dam,
A bridge about 210 meters long will be construoted near the western
shore of the Templin Lake, The railroad line is being constructed as a
donble-track line. It was learned that the construction work was executed
hy the Bau-Union Potsdam and Ingonieurtiefbau Brandenburg,

Calm line started during the week from 14 to 20 July 1955.
The Aussenring alongside the ::uhlheide shunting station is to be
straightened and constructed double-4rack in 1956.2

ferry boat constructed in Sweden which is wider than the previous ferry
and is able to carry more freight cars)
5, From 6 to 19 July 1955, the one track planned for that section of the
last connecting section of the Outer Freight Ring between Wustermark -
Ort and Brieselang was being transferred. It4was not known when the
transfer of the track was to be completed.

a. The line of the Saarmund Golm section which had already been
planned in 153, was definitely denided upon; Investigations on the ground
of Lake Templin made in February. 1955 produced a positive result
and made it possible to start the planned construction of a dam
across the lake. The dam is to have a length of 1.3 km and to be
25X1A equipped with a 2-nassage bridge in its midd2e. The construction was

to begin on 15 July 1955 Sand islands were filled up in the lake in
late June 1955. The Saarmund Golm section is likely to become the
most expensive section of the siet-e,e Niter Rine. since the
line requires extensive earth work in
addition to the dam in Lake Templin including the fitting in of swampland.
It is estimated that the construction in this section will take about
30 moths and that the line will be put into operation only lie earl
