1. The VEB Braunkohienwerk "Jonny Scheer," Laubusch ueber Hoyerswerda, Beg irk
Cottbus, has jurisdiction over two mines, one at Skado and the other at
Laubusch, and a new open pit mine in Bluno, where preliminary work was
begun in May 1955. According to the Economic Plan, the Bluno mine is to
be in operation in 1957 and is to produce some 6,000,000 tons of lignite
per day. The time of the beginning of the operation is vital to the new
Trattendorf power plant.
