a plant for the production of monochlorocetic acid. In this it turns
the higher chlorinated by-products into trichloroacetic acid, which
is used as a herbicide. This company is in a good productioV
position for carboxy-methyl cellulose, since it has all the raw materials
necessary. It also has an advantage in the production of monochloroacetic
acid, since a large acetic acid producer in the area provides an ample
and low-priced supply of ethyl alcohol."
