(b) The Asian birthrate in Nairobi during 1952 was 61 per 1000 compared with 21 for the European Population. In Kenya the white man is outnumbered 134+ to one by the African and three to one by the Indian. (c) Politically, Indians have less than half the representation of the Europeans in the colony. (d) In the professional grades of the Civil Service, Indians are paid three-fifths of what a European receives for the same job.
