The works of foremost Czech and Slovak artists are well-known throughout the world.StatePrize winner.Pressor Karel PokornS'r is one of the contemporary Czech sculptors,Whose works have been distinguished at art exhibitions at home and abroad.He is a pupil of the famous Czech sculptor Professor Myslbek.Professor PokorO's works express his great love of Czech people and its history. Among his pre-war creations are to be mentioned works dealing with social themes and showing a realistic choracterouch as the statue catastrophy "Fallen Soldier"/1926/,the memorial to the victims of a mine . oe -t at Lazy near Orlova,Moravireliefsodorning the National Liberation Museum in Prague and others.
