Operation
7 February 1956
1. The special wire service to Ambassador Jnhnsan in One's
continued throughout January at an average of about 2,000 words
per day. Some laprovannt in speed of processing the Peking Press
Review was achieved Isy placing the responsibility on the London

2. With the transfer of responsibility for production of the
"Targets" tram the Liaison Office to the Editorial Drench, certain
changes in procedure were instituted. Spot targets are issued by
wire as required; weekly target lists an trazunsitted to the field

weekly wire nessass, is prepared for the Field Bureaus and sent out

and Okinawa Bureaus, was furnished for Office of Operations Utast,
nittal in reply to the Wire question on this point.
4. A major reorganisation of the Rtalith more* service from RCI1A

to Flit, principally in respect to capability for ;weedy service.
