Dear Admiral Hillenkoetter:
Please refer to your memorandum of May 25, 1950,
to the Secretary, which requested that the Department
inquire of the British Government concerning the latter's
intentions to seek a renewal of the present British
Police and Prisons Mission (BPPM) contract with the
Greek Government at the end of this year.
The Department has approached the British Govern-
ment in accordance with your request, and you will be
informed upon receipt of an answer to the Department's
inquiry.
