ISMAILIYAH SA-2 SITE (S-5).
MISSION READOUT:- AL QANTARAH.SA-2 SITE (S-15) IS REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE FOUR NEWLY CONSTRUCTED, UNOCCUPIED SA-2 SITES. IT CONSISTS OF
A NEARLY COMPLETED, PREFABRICATFD CENTRAL GUIDANCE AREA AND SIX
REVETTED LAUNCH POSITIONS. ONE BULLDOZER AND ONE CARGO TRUCK WERE
OBSERVED IN-THE AREA.
EARTH SCARRING, OBSERVED AT 30-35-25N.032-22-25E, MAY BE THE INITIAL
GRADING FOR THE CENTRAL GUIDANCE AREA OF A FIFTH SAM SITE. THE LINEAR
BULLDOZED TRENCH AT THIS POSSIBLE SAM SITE (S-18) IS SIMILAR TO THOSE
PREVIOUSLY OBSERVED AT OTHER EGYPTIAN SAM SITES THAT WERE IN THE EARLY
STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION.
