SIGNIFICANCE: THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS UNIDENTIFIED ALTERATIONS BEING MADE TO THE LAUNCH POSITIONS AT AN SA-2 SITE IN NORTH VIETNAM. 2. LOCATION: SITE IS LOCATED 6.6 NM SOUTH OF HANOI AND JUST EAST OF ROUTE lA AT UTM WJ880140. 3. BACKGROUND: SAM SITE 15 WAS FIRST OBSERVED OIl 25X1 AT THAT 25X1 (UNOCCUPIED) ON 4. MISSION READOUT: AT HANOI SAM SITE A19-2 (#15). THE ACTIVITY CONSISTS OF THREE RECTANGULAR SHAPED EXCAVATIONS WHICH HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED IN THREE OF THE SITE'S LAUNCH POSITIONS. TWO OF THE EXCAVATIONS HAVE WHAT APPEAR TO BE TRENCH LIKE ENTRANCES, ONE AT EACH END, WHICH MEASURE APPROXIMATELY GROUP I EXCLUDED FROM AUTOMATIC DOWNGRADING AND DECLASSIFICATION These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed analytical work. NUMEROUS PERSONNEL ARE OBSERVED THROUGHOUT THE SITE ENGAGED IN PROBABLE SITE IMPROVEMENT. THE GUIDANCE AREA REVETMENTS ARE BEING SHORED-UP WITH SA-2 MISSILE SUSTAINER CANNISTERS.
