SUBJECT : Secret Service Agreement Concerning
Presidential Protection
1. On 1 August 1968, the Director of Security recommended
to the Office of General Counsel that an amendment be made to
the CIA/Secret Service Agreement adding a provision which would
allpw for the loan of CIA personnel to aid in the newly authorized
protection of Presidential candidates. Attached is a draft of the
proposed agreement (Tab B).

components of your Directorates and Staff and that any comments
